A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING GRAHAM F. SOMERVILLE FOR HIS SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE OIL REFINING INDUSTRY AND TO THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI.
WHEREAS, Graham F. Somerville has been the General Manager of the Chevron Products Company oil refinery located in Pascagoula, Mississippi, since 1990, and is retiring on May 1, 1999; and
WHEREAS, Graham F. Somerville has had an exemplary career with Chevron spanning 37 years; and
WHEREAS, Graham F. Somerville has provided outstanding service to the oil refining industry on numerous industry advisory boards and committees throughout his career with Chevron; and
WHEREAS, Graham F. Somerville has provided valuable community leadership and service within Pascagoula, Mississippi, and in his other areas of residence during his career and to the State of Mississippi as a whole as the leader of one of our state's most important industrial facilities:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we commend Graham F. Somerville for his significant contributions to the oil refining industry and to the State of Mississippi during his outstanding career with Chevron Products Company spanning 37 years and, particularly, as the General Manager of the Pascagoula Refinery since 1990 and sincere best wishes are extended to him for a happy and healthy retirement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to Graham Somerville and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
